The short lived Hesketh team brought a new carefree and fun loving attitude to Formula One and despite their lack of sponsorship and low budget they famously won the Austrian Grand Prix in 1975 with James Hunt at the wheel. The 308 was the teams first self designed and built chassis and its success led to Hunt being poached by McLaren. Despite its short life, the team and car are still fondly remembered.
